We Lost One Of Our Own

One of our beloved founding members has passed. Charlotte Ginter rejoined her husband Richard (another founding member) in death on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She will be missed by many: her family, her friends, her students, the children she drove on school buses, handbell choir members she directed at St Joseph Catholic Church and school in Strongsville and St Ambrose Catholic Church and school in Brunswick, and most assuredly by the ringers of the Celebration Ringers here in Strongsville.

Her viewing will take place at St Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, in Strongsville at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 13, 2025, followed by her funeral at the same place at 11:30 AM on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Please join us in a celebration of her life!

  1. Charlotte was my first handbell director. The beginner choir at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She was a wonderful teacher and obviously, an inspiration, because I’m still ringing handbells 22 years later! I will miss you, Charlotte.

  2. I met Charlotte in the Fall of 2007, while ringing next to her in Celebration Ringers. She typically rang B4/ C5; I typically rang G/A4. She was always smiling and friendly, and loving playing handbells! She always wanted the music to come out as “musically as possible”.

At that time, Richard still rang in the choir, and sometimes Charlotte would mutter to him from across the room, under her breath, if she wanted him to be a little less Richard..! (Seldom worked! If you knew Richard, you know!).

I loved them both. I’ll miss Charlotte and her sweet smile and cute laugh, but I know that she will live on in our hearts and in our music. She and Richard are dancing together once again. I was blessed to know them.
